캘리포니아에는 12 월 중순 327,000 dose 을 first shipment 로 받을 것이고 (Phase 1a)
다음 순서대로 백신을 맞게 될거라고 한다. 아무래도 health care 나 long term care 에 종사하는 이들을 우선으로 할 것이고
Phase 1a 는 대충 내년 1 월말에 끝날 듯 하다고.
Tier 1
- Acute care, psychiatric and correctional facility hospitals
- Skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and similar settings for older or medically vulnerable individuals
- Also, in concordance with ACIP, residents in these settings
- Paramedics, EMTs and others providing emergency medical services
- Dialysis centers
Tier 2
- Intermediate care facilities for persons who need non-continuous nursing supervision and supportive care
- Home health care and in-home supportive services
- Community health workers, including promotoras
- Public health field staff
- Primary Care clinics, including Federally Qualified Health Centers, Rural Health Centers, correctional facility clinics, and urgent care clinics
Tier 3
Other settings and health care workers, including
- Specialty clinics
- Laboratory workers
- Dental and other oral health clinics
- Pharmacy staff not working in settings at higher tiers
Tier 3 에 속해있긴 한데, 실제로 언제 백신을 맞게 될지는 모르겠다.
herd immunity 가 형성될 정도로 많은 이들이 백신을 맞은 후에도 계속 마스크를 애용할 듯 하다.
(미국 전체로 볼 때 마스크 안 쓰는 이들도 많다고는 하지만,
얼마 전 NPR 라디오에서는 많은 이들이 마스크 쓰는걸 좋아한다고.. 백신을 맞아도 마스크쓰겠다는 사람들 인터뷰를 들려줬다.
많은 이들이 치과의자에 앉아서도 마스크 벗는 걸 잊을 정도로 마스크에 익숙해져 있는듯 하다. 자신이 마스크를 썼는지 안 썼는지도 의식 못할정도이다.)
