Angela Duckworth 의 몇 년 전 책 Grit in The Power of Passion and Perseverance 에서 얘기한 grit 의 정의:

성경을 읽다보니 위의 정의에 부합하는 성경적 grit 에 관한 구절이 있다.
히브리서 12:1-3
1. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross,scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Long term goal 을 넘어서서 eternal goal, 예수님을 향해 달려가는 perseverance and passion.
성경적 true grit.
